Director of EVS James Williams was recently recognized for his exemplary leadership by his facility in Florida in their daily newsletter to hospital staff. He has gone the extra mile caring for patients and his team during COVID-19, and he’s making a difference every single day:
“Anyone that knows James, knows that he is laser focused on patient satisfaction and the way that people perceive the cleanliness of [our facility]. Those standards come easy for James.
...Even under “normal” circumstances, housekeeping is always scrutinized in healthcare, because so much of a hospital’s ability to help patients heal is dependent on the way a healthcare facility is kept clean and sanitized. When [we] began making plans to ensure that all precautions were in place to care for COVID patients, James made sure that he worked hand in hand with infection prevention, [facility] leaders, and HHS, who had a team working with [our parent system] to ensure that we were doing everything that needed to be done to ensure that the environment was taken care of with the heightened guidelines.
James provided educational in-services to his team to ensure that they knew proper techniques, proper PPE, and proper steps to keep themselves, the community, and the work family safely protected. James has team members who volunteered to be assigned to the COVID units, when most would have chosen otherwise. James is one director that doesn’t strive for recognition, but absolutely deserves it!”
