From System Implementation to Leadership: Tanya's Journey with HHS

Tanya's journey with HHS began in October 2016, when she joined the company as part of the UltiPro Implementation Team. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and over 30 years of experience in HRIS, payroll administration, and related fields, Tanya quickly proved to be a valuable asset during a major software implementation.

After contributing as a core member of the implementation team, Tanya transitioned into a permanent role as the System Administrator for UltiPro. However, her journey didn't stop there. Opportunities for growth and advancement soon presented themselves, and Tanya seized them with determination.

Eventually, the role of Payroll Director became available, and although hesitant at first, Tanya eventually stepped up to the challenge, smoothly transitioning into her new position. It went so smoothly that she was promoted to Vice President of Payroll in 2022. Her dedication, along with her ability to understand the needs of her team, paved the way for her continued success within the company.

What sets Tanya apart is her commitment to service. Interacting with team members at all levels and service lines of HHS, Tanya finds fulfillment in positively impacting their lives. Whether she’s resolving issues or providing guidance, she approaches each interaction with a genuine desire to help.

Tanya’s motivation to grow her career comes from her passion for service. She sees herself as an advocate for her colleagues, striving to understand their unique situations and find the best solutions to support them. This sense of purpose drives her to expand her knowledge and skills, ensuring that she can make a meaningful difference in the lives of team members at HHS.

Tanya has found more than just a job at HHS – she’s found a supportive community that values work-life balance and fosters collaboration. Surrounded by colleagues and leaders who respect and appreciate her contributions, Tanya feels empowered to excel in her role and contribute to the success of the organization.

Reflecting on her journey, Tanya offers sage advice to others: “Enjoy what you do, respect who you do it for, and if you ever find yourself unhappy, make a life change, internal or external, so that work is not a daunting task but a rewarding service that you have helped someone today.” It's a philosophy that has guided her through challenges and triumphs, shaping her into a valuable leader at HHS.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tanya is a devoted mother of two adult children and finds fulfillment in spending time with her family and friends and nurturing her spiritual journey. Her Louisiana roots may be in her past, but her heart and soul are firmly rooted in Texas, where she continues to make a positive impact on those around her.
