In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital housekeepers are getting recognized as what we’ve known them to always be: frontline heroes. An HHS team in Mississippi was recently featured in a 4-page article in the local newspaper, highlighting their extraordinary effort in the fight against COVID-19.
“Hospital housekeepers have always been the unsung heroes of the healthcare systems,” said Dr. Kevin M. Richardson, Chief Medical Officer. “Whether we are talking about the ER, the operating room, or labor and delivery, our housekeeping team members serve a critical role in infection prevention and patient recovery.”

He encourages them with a reminder that their roles are equally important as doctors and nurses in fighting this disease.
