LUM Teams Celebrate Laundry and Linen Awareness Week

The week of April 22nd HHS Linen Utilization Management (LUM) teams across the country celebrated laundry and linen awareness week by providing education to facility staff on how to better utilize the resources in their care.

In Shreveport, Louisiana, HHS Linen Manager Nijja Langford held seminars and demonstrations throughout the week to provide education to staff on the proper handling of linen. Todd Chederquist, HHS Regional Director of Laundry and Linen Services, said of the events, “This was Nijja's first time planning for this event and she did an amazing job.”

In San Antonio, Texas, Linen Managers Andrew Salas and Vanessa Henley traveled to four different facilities in their area to provide education to nursing and staff on the importance of linen utilization. The team held a raffle for the entire staff where they were entered to win San Antonio Spurs gear for their participation  in the activities.
