Melinda began working with HHS in April 2013 as a part-time housekeeper at a hospital in Punta Gorda, Florida. When a full-time position became available she moved into that role, and then was later promoted to housekeeping lead for the second shift. In October 2015, she was approached by the director of a nearby HHS partner facility who offered her an opportunity to join the team as a morning supervisor. There, she worked closely with her director to develop her leadership skills and learn how to best work with the team. When an assistant director position became available, her director nominated her for the role and she gladly accepted.
Melinda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Master of Education. She previously worked as a social worker and a teacher before joining HHS. Melinda is married and has three children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and also loves planning special events and celebrations for her team.
“I have met and formed relationships with different people along the way that have molded me into the person I am within the company today.”
