Success Story: Cristy Stewart

Housekeeper, team lead, supervisor, patient advocate, assistant director, and director — Cristy Stewart has held all these titles throughout her tenure with HHS. That’s six promotions within a six-year time frame! 

Cristy loves working with the patients — it’s her favorite part of the job. She wants every individual she comes in contact with to feel like family. Her focus on the patient experience has positively impacted the HCAHPS scores on her units and at her facility. 

Cristy is also willing to go above and beyond. When COVID hit in 2020, she was the first one at her facility to offer to clean the rooms. This gave her hands-on experience and the confidence to train her staff on proper procedures and to ensure they felt comfortable cleaning the rooms themselves. 

She says she owes her success to her leaders. Their guidance and support have helped her throughout her career with HHS and her six promotions stand as a testament to that. 

How does Cristy sum up her experience with HHS?

Cristy is currently the director of EVS at our partner facility in Nashville, Tennessee. She has been married for 20 years and has two beautiful daughters.
