Latrice joined HHS in November 2017 as a housekeeper at a hospital in Houston, Texas, where she focused on cleaning the facility’s operating rooms. Vice President of EVS Leroy Adams quickly identified Latrice’s potential as a leader, and after gaining some experience in the role, she was promoted to supervisor at a nearby facility. She took that opportunity to learn from her director, Dexter Cole, as she prepared to take on a greater role. In May 2019 Latrice was promoted to assistant director at another facility in the Houston area.
Latrice came to HHS with a strong background in the customer service field from her time serving in the U.S. Army. She grew up in the Netherlands and has spent most of her life living and traveling throughout Europe, which has made her adaptable to a variety of situations and cultures. She has also served as a special education educator, and together these experiences and skills have helped her to become a strong leader and to provide excellent service to customers and patients.
Latrice earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Science from the University of Maryland. She loves science fiction and mystery movies and books, and The Hobbit is her favorite.
