In the nomination it was noted that Anthony is frequently seen escorting patients and visitors through the facility. He was even spotted assisting a visitor that was in a wheelchair. This particular visitor was having mobility issues, and Anthony jumped in to push the individual across the hospital, to the waiting room where the visitor's family members were located. It was also noted that Anthony takes an extreme amount of pride in his work. It is not unusual to see him on his hands and knees, scrubbing hard-to-reach places on the floors, or even mopping the walls to ensure that they are clean and free of marks or scuffs.
EVS Director Matthew Wright said of the award, “At one time, it was not very common for an EVS team member to be nominated for this award, but our team has managed to secure a nomination for every one of the past four quarters. Congratulations Anthony and team.”
