This month, she’s retiring from her long career, and we couldn’t be prouder of what she’s accomplished.
She’s worked in both environmental services and patient transport, and her legacy is one of dedication, hard work, and commitment to customer service. When asked about what made Marva so successful, one HHS vice president said, “Marva cared about HHS. She cared about CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth. She cared about her team, her colleagues, and her patients.” In other words, Marva put others first.
She never took shortcuts, and she always expected her team to have the same work ethic and dedication that she had.
Tommy Allred, her former vice president, commented on her leadership of the transport team, “Marva kept things running so smoothly that it was never a question if anyone else would or could run the department. She was dedicated to her craft, and she truly owned her responsibilities.”
Marva’s commitment to excellence was inspiring, and it will continue to inspire those that had the privilege to work with her.
