Chelcey Deese’s professional career started in the retail space. Six years ago, while waiting on a current HHS director at the convenience store she worked at, her customer service stood out to him, and he left her with his HHS business card. Shocked, she gave the director a call to find out more about potential job opportunities.
After their call, she was hired, and since joining the team as an administrative assistant in 2015, Chelcey always expressed her desire for professional growth.
“Once I started with the company, I knew I wanted to grow. I expressed my interest to my director and vice president. After developing in the [administrative assistant] role for a year, I was promoted to assistant director, then almost three years later to the director of EVS.”
Chelcey didn’t stop there. She continued to advance and now serves as the director of EVS at a larger facility in Davenport, Florida.
She shares that her team has been vital to her success and that her relationship with them is something that she is most proud of.
“I’m very grateful for HHS, the people I’ve met, and the relationships I’ve built along the way. This company, as cliche as it sounds, changed my life and I’m so thankful for the opportunities I’ve had since joining HHS in 2015.”
