Laura joined HHS in August 2017 as an EVS supervisor for the medical outbuilding (MOB) department at a facility in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. In the following months she extended her supervisory role to include the PM supervisor shift at the hospital in addition to the MOB, and also provided support at an account in Nebraska during the same year. In July 2018 she attended the HHS management training program in Texas, and in January 2019 she was promoted to assistant director at a medical facility in Murray, Kentucky.
Laura joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17, where she trained to become a surgical technician. While with the army she obtained her licensed practical nurse (LPN) certification and worked in the medical field through her mid-twenties. Since leaving the army, Laura has worked in corrections, law enforcement, and the medical field. She has held management positions in a variety of fields, but always enjoyed working in healthcare the most.
Laura enjoys spending time in nature and loves fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, and visiting national parks. She has two children that are in their twenties.
“The fact that there is always change, growth, and involvement in a variety of areas makes HHS a dynamic, exciting adventure. If you are always trying to grow and learn on a professional level, HHS is the place for you. The challenges, along with the adventures of meeting new people and seeing new places, are gratifying, and the constant training and support from your peers is encouraging. I have been blessed to be employed with this company and hope I can give back what I have been given.”
