Sangria is a classic Spanish beverage that infuses wine with seasonal fruits and flavors. This version highlights the tart and crisp flavors of apples—perfect for the fall season. This recipe can also easily be made as a non-alcoholic version by using tea or grape juice. Apple Sangria

Serves 12 (1 gallon)
Ingredients:
- 8 cups of dry red wine*
- 8 cups of apple juice
- 1 small grapefruit, cut into 8 wedges
- 1 medium orange, cut into thin slices
- 1 medium lemon, cut into thin slices
- 1 small pear, diced
- 1 medium red apple, diced
Preparation:
In a large pitcher, combine wine and apple juice and mix well. Add the grapefruit, oranges, and lemons, then cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Remove from the refrigerator, add the pears and apples, and let stand for 1 hour. Mix well and serve over ice.
*For a non-alcoholic version, use black tea or grape juice instead of red wine.
