Hospitality healthcare management leader, Amanda May-Smith, joins HHS as President of Culinary and Nutrition Services.

Dripping Springs, TX (October 14, 2024)—HHS is pleased to announce Amanda May-Smith as its new Culinary and Nutrition Services (CNS) President.

Amanda first joined the contract food service world in 2008, where she progressed from a manager-in-training to a senior executive overseeing the Western United States.

Before joining HHS, Amanda spent many years in hospitality healthcare management, supervising over 250 accounts in 18 states, and is well-experienced in business development and market expansion. She was the first female vice president of operations in her previous role, where she consistently achieved top financial, payroll, food productivity, and client satisfaction results. She surpassed industry benchmarks with employee retention, from frontline staff to senior management.

Additionally, Amanda brings first-hand operational experience through her own restaurant and catering business in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Her food mission to always lead with fresh, from scratch food is perfectly aligned with HHS’ Food Forward Philosophy

"My heart is firmly in servant leadership, and I consider it my life's purpose to serve my teams, clients, and patients. I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and living out the HHS values in my day-to-day interactions and decisions," said Amanda of her new role.

Amanda graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in business administration and management. She is currently living a homesteading life in Colorado with her husband, Daniel, and her remaining child at home, Nova Jean – complete with dairy goats and other farm animals.
