HHS, LLC to Relocate Corporate Headquarters to Dripping Springs, Texas
Hospital Support Service Provider to Create 86 Jobs in Greater San Marcos Region
January 20, 2015 – SAN MARCOS, TX – The Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP), the economic development organization for the City of San Marcos, Hays County and Caldwell County, today announced that HHS, LLC, formerly known as Hospital Housekeeping Systems, will relocate its corporate headquarters from Austin, Texas to Dripping Springs, creating 86 corporate administrative jobs with an average annual salary of $60,000. The new 45,000 square-facility will be located at 12495 Silver Creek Road, Dripping Springs, TX.
“The Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metro area provides a diverse array of options for companies to operate,” said Adriana Cruz, President of the Greater San Marcos Partnership. “Hays County provided HHS an option within the metro region to continue their rapid growth and support their future success.”
HHS is a privately owned company that started in 1975 (as Hospital Housekeeping Systems) serving a single hospital with a single service line. Today, they serve over 350 hospitals with multiple service offerings, including: Environmental Services, Culinary and Nutrition, Patient Flow, Facilities, Clinical and Biomedical Engineering, and Linen Utilization and Laundry Management. Company representatives credit its growth to being accomplished by identifying trends and strategic partnerships that generate new sources of revenue for the company and its clients, and by adding value to each customer it serves. In 2013, the company changed its name to HHS to represent the formalized gathering of our evolving service lines under one parent organization.

GSMP staff worked with the company’s representatives to provide information and make connections for Hays County incentive process as well as provide information on the current workforce and industry trends in Dripping Springs.
On December 16, 2014, the Hays County Commissioners approved an Economic Development Incentive Agreement with HHS, LLC, and its affiliated entities, providing incentives in the form of 75% rebate of Hays County property taxes for ten years with an initial investment of $9 million.
“GSMP applauds Hays County for their decision to enter an agreement with HHS, making our region more competitive for this corporate headquarter relocation and creating jobs while increasing investment in the area,” Cruz added.
Including HHS, LLC, since the formation of GSMP in October 2010, the Partnership staff has worked 241 projects or requests for information (RFI) resulting in 23 announcements, 1,358 jobs announced and more than $29 million in capital investment. Thirteen of these announcements were located in the city of San Marcos announcing 603 jobs and over $20 million of capital investment.

HHS Headquarters Update, April 2019
DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS, APRIL 2019 — In late February of 2019, HHS, one of the largest privately owned support service companies in the United States, officially opened its new 125-acre campus in Dripping Springs, Texas. Located off of Fitzhugh Road, the campus serves as HHS’ home office and has approximately 100 employees at this location. Within the first few weeks of opening, HHS hired three Dripping Springs residents to the Home Office team, with the ultimate desire to employ more within the next few months. The decision to relocate to the Texas Hill Country was based on the organization’s desire to better accommodate the needs of their growing company as well as their team.
As part of their commitment to the area, HHS took every measure to ensure that their move would have a positive impact on the local community and the beautiful region they call home. Since opening their doors, they have implemented on-site composting to reduce waste, upgraded their water filtration system to a reverse osmosis system, helping to eliminate the need for bottled water, and stocked all break areas with reusable supplies to minimize the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Additionally, they established an on-site garden to source their own produce to serve at their cafe and to send home with employees, and are also constructing walking trails so that employees can fully enjoy the picturesque Hill Country setting.
In 2017, HHS pledged to support responsible animal welfare and sustainability practices at their culinary accounts. Their dedication for responsible stewardship is also present at their on-site cafe, KO’s Cafe, located at the HHS Home Office in Dripping Springs. KO’s Cafe serves ethically raised meats, poultry, and seafood, and also sources produce and products from area farmers and companies. A few notable partnerships include 44 Farms, Farm to Table ATX, and Hardies. All of these small businesses support area farmers and provide quality products that are raised the way nature intended. KO’s Cafe is operated by Chef Greg Thornton, a native of the Texas Hill Country, and Chef Sean Huitt, and offers a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. HHS is planning to open KO’s Cafe to the public to further their commitment of supporting the Dripping Springs community.
