Lisa Molnar Named Chief People Officer, Becoming First Woman to Join HHS’ Executive C-Suite
HHS has officially announced Lisa Molnar as its first-ever Chief People Officer (CPO), becoming the first woman appointed as a top executive in the company.
Lisa, an 18-year veteran with HHS, previously served as the President of Human Capital Management, overseeing human resources, payroll, benefits, employee liability, recruiting, and internal communications.
As CPO, she’ll continue to lead these teams as well as manage the company's learning and development strategy. In her expanded role, Lisa will define the roadmap for recruiting and onboarding, improve communication and retention strategies, and implement training and best practices to ensure employees remain engaged and successful.
"People are our most valuable asset at HHS, and Lisa has demonstrated her steadfast commitment to our people and the HHS mission over her 18 years of service,” said HHS Chairman and CEO Bobby Floyd. “I am excited to continue working with her on advancing the development and fostering the success of our team members and leaders at all levels.”
As CPO, Lisa’s goals and vision for the role include the following:
- Developing and revamping learning and development initiatives to include on-the-job training using artificial intelligence, new mentorship training programs, and personal life management and advancement programs
- Working to address work-life balance and continuous development in all areas as new generations enter the workforce
- Continuing to contribute to HHS diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to encourage and establish more women leaders in the company’s executive leadership
- Researching and developing strategic plans to remain competitive within the industry to better support the success of HHS and its people
“As the first woman in the HHS C-suite, it is a huge honor and responsibility,” said Lisa of the achievement. “I am very grateful to my teams over the years and for what I have learned from them, my mentors, our operations, and leadership. I hope to represent and honor all women during my tenure in this role and show the younger generations that you can achieve greatness if you do the work and make the commitment to yourself. The amazing responses from HHS operations and our partners have been more meaningful than the title itself.”
Lisa's leadership, compassion, and drive have contributed to her being promoted more than 10 times within the company, though Lisa says her biggest wins have been watching her team excel.
“I take great pride in my team, expanding their knowledge and encouraging them to grow with HHS or other employers. I feel a personal accomplishment when I see my team succeed in their careers and advance. As a leader and Chief People Officer, my biggest win is seeing the positive, progressive changes in the lives of our people and within the company.”
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medicine and Business Administration and currently holds multiple designations under human resources and insurance, including her SPHR, ARM, and CEBS certifications.
